Lastly, we have an exciting remote opportunity for a Pharmacy Prior Authorization Representative. The training hours for this position are from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. EST, Monday through Friday, for 4 to 5 weeks. After training, your hours will be from 1:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. EST, Monday through Friday.

As a Pharmacy Prior Authorization Representative, your responsibilities include answering inbound calls from patients, providers, and pharmacies, averaging about 50 calls daily. You’ll be expected to handle calls back-to-back while navigating multiple applications on several screens. Attending all training sessions and the first 90 days of employment is mandatory. You’ll need to resolve patient inquiries and complaints with independent problem-solving skills and aim for one-call resolution. Additionally, you’ll strive to meet or exceed call center metrics while providing excellent customer service.

To qualify, you need a high school diploma or equivalent and at least one year of customer service experience. A distraction-free workspace and intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Outlook are required. Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills are essential, as is the ability to remain calm and helpful in challenging situations. Fostering teamwork and collaboration with cross-functional departments to resolve issues and improve customer experience is also important.

If you work from home, you’ll need a cable broadband or fiber optic internet connection with at least 10Mbps download and 5Mbps upload speeds. The hourly rate for this position ranges from $17 to $25, depending on your experience and location. The role also includes eligibility for an annual bonus plan.
